15 June: Spanish Steps

A popular place where people gathered - somewhat similar to the Times Square where people sat round (doing nothing! haha...). Here, we witnessed a newly married couple throwing a party here :)

On the other hand, it's also popular for its streets of branded boutiques like Gucci and Chanel.
Oh yes, it was the first 'shopping stop' in this trip, and there's where some showed their "buying power"!

16 June: Trevi Fountain at Roma

Trevi Fountain, where many would come to make a wish (and hope that it would come true).

Very crowded... That's where I had my first local gelato :)

15 June: Roman Colosseum

The Colosseum, a symbol of Rome is a huge structure that witnessed the "culture" revolution of the Rome empire. This was where the battle between the slaves and beasts took place. Its 'function' changed when the emperor declared to stop such acts, on religious grounds.

The structure was huge... grand! Look at the stones (er... rocks) that were used to build the structure. In addition, the amount of marbles used (which were already removed (and recycled)).

The Arch that stands beside the Colosseum was built, not for war victory (which was usually the case), but to commemorate the end of the slave-beast 'entertainment'.

15 June: Vatican City

The smallest state city that is found within another city.

Interesting fact: It has its own army and the city is protected by the Swiss guards, whose attire is extremely colorful!

Visited the Vatican Museum. That reminded me that it's a mini-Lourve.
On the other hand, saw a broken sculpture that gave Michelangelo the importation on how he depicted god looked like in the Last Judgement.

The Vatican Museum has a passage way that leads to the Sistine Museum where the famous masterpieces by Michelangelo are located. Amazing work!
